Claude Remy (Bazinet)
d. 2012
Sad to announce the recent passing of Claude Remy (Bazinet), from heart complications. A great vocalist and bass man for many years on the local scene, Claude started with his father violinist Rene Bazinet at the age of 7 in a wedding band as a dancer/singer. His early 70’s recording, an updated, bilingual version of Tony Bennett’s “Rags to Riches,” was a local success, and he was known especially for his renditions of Roy Orbison, The Righteous Brothers and Ray Charles. Our thoughts are with his wife Monique Legris, and his two sons Miguel and Rene.
