Edward Bimm

1951 – 2019

On October 6th of this year, the music industry and Local 180 lost an exceptionally talented musician.

Ed Bimm was a longtime friend and brother in arms. We met in the early seventies and connected musically and personally from the get-go. We played in so many bands together that I’ve lost count.

Ed was the consummate professional that everyone leaned on for his wealth of knowledge and generous spirit. He was the go-to guy for many musical projects, up to and including the week prior to his hospitalization.

On October 27th, a celebration of life was held by friends and family. A multitude of musicians and singers came to perform and share in our grief. Special thanks to Sherri Harding, Brian and Dick Cooper for spearheading this wonderful gathering.

Rest in peace my old friend.
