Faye Allen Payne
1915 – 2006
Passed away at 90 years of age on April 1, 2006, at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus. Faye was well-known musician and life member of Local 180.
In the early ’50s, he was a member of the Fred Davis CFRA Orchestra that played throughout the Ottawa-Gatineau region. He later played for many years in the ballroom of the Château Laurier with the Len Hopkins Orchestra.
Faye and his wife Bernie were staunch supporters of the live music scene in Ottawa and were regular customers of the Royal Oak in Kanata where they came to hear their favourite Dixieland band. Faye will be greatly missed by his many friends and fellow musicians in Local 180.
