Gordon Rushworth

Gord passed away after suffering a stroke. His professional career started as a member of the Downsview Air Transport Command Band in Toronto.
In 1964 he was transferred to the Central band in Ottawa as assistant lead trumpet and soloist. He retired from his military career in 1976 and continued to play with many local bands until his death. He served on Local 180’s executive board in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
